Notable as the oldest house on its original site in Dodge City, the stone Mueller-Schmidt House was built in 1881. Now a historic museum, the house contains many late-19th and early-20th century items, furnishings and photographs which are explained on guided tours provided throughout the summer months. It is located three blocks north of historic Front Street in Dodge City, where the home's builder, John Mueller, had his bootshop.
